3-Day Uganda Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide. After a brief orientation, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Enjoy the picturesque journey through Uganda’s beautiful landscapes, including rolling hills, lush greenery, and charming villages. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi in the late afternoon. After checking in, relax and unwind, enjoying the serene surroundings and preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Today is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and safety measures. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track and divided into small groups with an experienced guide.

Embark on your trek through the dense forests of Bwindi, navigating steep and sometimes challenging terrain. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you locate the gorillas, spend an awe-inspiring hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Watch as they interact, play, and go about their daily lives – a truly unforgettable experience.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and lunch. In the afternoon, you can choose to take a guided nature walk or visit the local community to learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your lodge, reflecting on the incredible experience of the day.

Day 3: Return to Entebbe and Departure After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe, taking in the last views of Uganda’s stunning countryside. If time permits, we can make a stop at the equator for photo opportunities and a chance to purchase local crafts. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day gorilla safari adventure in Uganda.
